Erasmus+ ProdLog Surveys

The goal of the project is to develop and implement an interdisciplinary resource efficient production logistics program for master students in RU, KZ and KYR with about 18 modules (120 ECTS) in conformity with the Bologna process by February 2020. It was decided to make a survey for companies and students to find out about needs of companies and wishes of students.

355 BA students participated in the Student survey.

Most of the students (~80%) think the new Master Curriculum will be interesting and most of them would like to apply. The students think employers would be more interested if the applicant have a Master’s Degree in “Production Logistics”. Students want to learn about current transport methods, techniques and pricing from market perspective. Usage of more visual teaching method would be welcomes.  Arrange more workshops, invite specialists from the industry. Learn industry and company related skills: business etiquette, languages, presentations (how to make and give), use more up to date software.  Most importantly, more practice is needed.

74 people from companies participated in the Student survey.

Most of the company’s main or important profile is transport or supply chain logistics. 2/3 of the companies are in the field of logistic services. Only 1/3 of the respondents are in higher managerial positions. The difference of the size of the companies was large: The surveys interviewed micro companies (under 10 person) up to multinational companies (5000+ people) with a range of 10.000$ to 10.000.000$ annual turnover.

All information by obtaining feedback will be taken into account by establishment of the master program.
